Silvereye, Zosterops lateralis

  • The 'Silvereye' is a tiny olive green bird with, as the name suggests, a silvery white ring around the eye.

  • They are common along the eastern and southern coast of Australia and it's offshore islands.

  • They can be seen flitting in small groups through the canopy of the coastal rainforest, such as the picnic area at Dubuji at Cape Tribulation.
