Ravenshoe to Tumoulin

One and a half hours return trip

Departure: Ravenshoe Railway Station 

This regular steam train run leaves Ravenshoe’s station, pulling its historic carriages through open bushland and across trestle bridges for the little siding of Tumoulin, at 960m (3160ft), the highest railway station in Queensland.
Ravenshoe is famous for its timber industry, and during WWII was a important training camp for many soldiers before embarking for the Pacific war.
Ravenshoe is a picturesque country town, the highest in Queensland, and enjoys warm summers and crisp winters.
