DUSKY MOORHEN: Gallinula tenebrosa

Identifying characteristics: Red frontal face shield, with yellow-tipped beak. Body is uniformly dark.

Call: is a piercing “krick, krick!”

Distribution: Fresh water in the eastern third of the continent and the south west corner.
